Layla is a gorgeous light fawn out the renowned NGG Lional. Even at 12 years of age, Layla’s fiber still holds many fantastic qualities. Her fiber is super dense and still has good staple length. Her topknot is amazing and her conformation is perfect. We acquired his wonderful girl less than a year ago after hearing about her phenomenal cria. I can only imagine what her fiber was like when she was younger and can’t wait to see what she produces for us in 2018.
Layla’s dam, Jolimont Peruvian Limbani, is a medium fawn out of the import Jolimont Peruvian Lampa. Limbani is a multi- champion who is known for her great cria. She produced many beautiful cria in an array of colors. Whenever she was bred to dark, she would throw dark colors with Layla being her only exception. Although we only know Limbani’s dam’s color,BG, given this information I imagine that Layla has more color in her then we think. Since Layla’s sire and grand-dam were both brown and her mother threw dark colors, I am curious to see what color cria she will have when we breed her to our bay black herdsire, CCAP Tropical Forest.
Layla’s sire is the one and only, NGG Lional! He has been called one of Peruvian Bueno’s best cria more than once. Sunset Hill farm stated,” Lional is well known for his beneficial genetics and gives his crias exceptional conformation, solid bone, density and uniformity in fleece”. All in all Lional is a magnificent alpaca whose genetics make Layla’s cria all the better.
Layla has always been a fabulous mother. She gave birth to Lady Valentina Von Sparkles in May of 2018. She dotes on her adorable daughter, just as we expected that she would.
