My sweet Tralyn! She is adorable! The mellowest alpaca you will ever meet. Every morning she gives me a hug before breakfast and I get to feel that super soft fiber. Tralyn boasts white alpaca quality fiber in a shimmering bay black color. Her fiber is consistently crimpy while still holding it’s density and fineness. Her comformation is exceptional and her topknot is to die for! This is thanks to her sire giving her a long line of champion winning light colored parents, grandparents, and great grandparents. Her mom has a strong line of brown, black and grey ancestors. They are known to throw dark colors even when bred to light colored alpacas, and Tralyn is no exception.
Edgewood’s Mardi Gras, Tralyn’s dam, is a spectacular maroon with the signature black tipped nose, ears, and feet. As she ages, silver grey patches are becoming more present! Her fiber is still superbly soft and fine at 6 years old! It’s no wonder why she was able to take the first place ribbon at her first show! Undoubtedly Mardi Gras’ ability to throw high quality fiber to her cria came from her sire’s side! Mardi Gras’ sire, MB multi blue ribbon winner, Matias Amadeo, has had nearly 60% of his cria win either ribbons or championships! This is fantastic seeing as most alpacas seem to have 50% or less win at shows. I can only imagine what Tralyn will produce when she gets older!
Tralyn’s sire, Jeremiah’s Peruvian Quantum Leap, is a 2x champion light fawn son of the famous Majestic Peruvian Jeremiah! Majestic Peruvian Jeremiah is a 10x champion BEIGE alpaca with tons of blue ribbons to his name! Combine this great alpaca with an outstanding Bay Black champion winning dam, Tralyn’s granddam, and it is no wonder that they produced this extraordinary sire.
I know what you are thinking; she can’t be better can she! Let me tell you about her lineage! I am just going to list some of the fantastic names but be sure to look at her ARI! MFI Peruvian Jericho, PPeruvian Timoteo, PPPeruvian Vitality, MFI Peruvian Black Mesquite, DPA Quetzal, Peruvian Dakotia, and Black Peruvian Royal Forest. The more I look at this alpaca, the more I love her. You can’t blame us for wanting to take her to the shows.
